How it works
From city to doorstep
Three steps, with the map data and its limits shown plainly.
Choose a city
Search by name or country. Results are centred on the city coordinates, not your live location — no location permission is asked.
See the nearest
Up to twelve mosques inside 5 km are mapped and numbered, with straight-line distance from the centre.
Get directions
Each result links to directions in your maps app, plus a phone number or website when OpenStreetMap has one.
Mosque positions come from OpenStreetMap contributors and are licensed under the Open Database License. A first search for a new area can take up to a minute while the map data is prepared.
Questions
About the mosque finder
Coverage, speed and where the mosque data comes from.
How does the mosque finder work?
Choose a city and DeenDock asks OpenStreetMap for mosques, Islamic centres and prayer rooms within 5 km of the city centre. Results are sorted by straight-line distance and drawn on a simple map, with directions links for each one.
How long does a search take?
Most cities return in a second or two. The first search for an area that has not been requested before can take up to a minute while the map data is prepared. The mosque page shows a skeleton while it waits, so the rest of the page stays usable.
Is my city covered?
The finder covers 436 cities in 147 countries, from Makkah and Madinah to smaller cities across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Search for your city, or choose the nearest one on the prayer times pages.
Why does a mosque page not show prayer times?
Map data does not include each mosque’s timetable, and congregational times vary by mosque. DeenDock shows calculated prayer times for the city, while the mosque page links to those times and to directions. Call the mosque for Jumu‘ah and daily congregation times.
A mosque is missing. Can I add it?
Yes — the data comes from OpenStreetMap, the community map. Add the mosque or correct its position there, and the change reaches DeenDock when the page refreshes, usually within a day. No account is needed to search or view mosques here.
