About DeenDock

A quieter way to keep up.

DeenDock is a free Muslim companion built around one idea: the essentials of your deen should be immediate, accurate and calm — not another feed competing for your attention.

Why DeenDock

The essentials should not need an account.

Most apps ask you to sign up before they will show a prayer time. The Qibla is often behind a paywall, an ad or a permission prompt. DeenDock takes the opposite approach: the utility comes first — on the web and in the app — and it is free.

We are an independent team, and we build the app we want in our own day. That means accurate calculations, respectful language, and a design that steps back when you are done. No streak shaming. No fear-based reminders. No dark patterns.

The website is the clearest expression of that idea. You can check today’s salah, find the Qibla and read the Quran without installing anything. The Android app adds the parts a browser cannot: it wakes you for Fajr, points to the Qibla through your camera, and keeps the Quran with you when the signal drops.

What we hold to

Four principles, applied everywhere.

They shape the website, the app, and the copy you read on both.

Utility before conversion

Every page works without installing anything. The app earns its place by adding what a browser cannot do — alerts, offline audio, AR and widgets — never by locking the basics away.

Accuracy you can check

We use established calculation methods and show the method next to every timetable. Sources are credited at the bottom of the page, so you can verify what you see.

Quiet by default

No streak shaming, no red badges for a missed prayer, no fear-based reminders. Notifications are opt-in and respect the quiet hours you set.

Privacy by design

The website needs no account. The app uses your location to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction — and keeps your worship history yours.

Data sources

Where the numbers come from.

We do not generate prayer times with a black box. These are the services and communities behind the data, credited in the footer of every page.

If a time looks wrong, email us with the city, date and method — corrections are how the data gets better.

AlAdhan

Prayer times and Hijri dates

Prayer time and Hijri date data are synced from AlAdhan’s calculation service, using the method and school you choose.

AlQuran Cloud

Quran text, translations and audio

Quran text and translations are served by DeenDock from AlQuran Cloud. Recitation audio is streamed or downloaded from the same source.

Geoapify + OpenStreetMap

Mosque data

Mosque locations come from OpenStreetMap contributors via Geoapify. Open data keeps the finder independent and correctable.

Prayer times are calculated, not observed. Local moon sighting and mosque practice can differ by a day or a few minutes; verify important times locally.
